Early on in our marriage, my husband and I decided to venture into the real estate market. At the time, my husband (Paul) was a detective in New York City and one of his colleagues highly recommended an Orange County realtor named Joan Milmore. Joan was then an agent for Remax Realty. We were young, scared, and apprehensive about the daunting prospect of buying our first home. She was the utmost professional, was very organized, and was extremely knowledgeable with regards to every aspect of the home-buying process. Joan listened to all our requirements and used “our wishlist” to compile a group of houses for us to see. At the same time, however, she did not waste time showing us anything that she felt would not suit us–even though other realtors would have shown us an unacceptable house just because it was within our price range. The first two houses she showed us were nice, but they did not make us feel like we belonged there. When we walked into the third house, Paul and I both knew that we had just stepped into what we hoped would be our future home. This house happened to be of interest to quite a few people. Joan stepped up and told the owners that we were not interested in a bidding war. Within two days, we were told that the owners had accepted our offer. Stating the obvious, Joan took charge and successfully got us the home of our dreams. I will never be able to properly thank Joan for what she has done for us–we now have our home and live in a neighborhood that we are so very happy in.

Dear Joan, Tracy and I have been wanting to thank you for a long time. We absolutely love the new home you helped us find. We were discussing the other day that this house is the third one you helped us find. We also thank you from the bottom of hearts for doing such an excellent job in handling the sales of our prior two homes. Having you as a Realtor is like having a Realtor/Attorney/Friend all in one. I have had the pleasure of working with Joan in a number of different capacities for many years. The most memorable events, undoubtedly, were when she guided us through the sale of our home in Cornwall, the purchase of a lot, and the building of our new house. The sale went incredibly smoothly. The purchase of the lot also. The building of the house was another matter altogether. What struck me though was, even though Joan really had no responsibility to us through that building process, and had nothing to gain one way or the other, she was always at our side, offering advice when asked, championing our cause with the builder when necessary, even going with me to help me pick out the tile. I will always be touched by her caring nature and her sense of commitment.

I can't thank you enough for all that you have done for me and all that you endured with me when buying this house. When I first set out on the journey to buy a new house, I remember asking JP if he knew a realtor. He said to me, "If you want someone strong and you want it done right, you call Joan." Boy, was he right! While I am no stranger to buying property, I was new to buying new construction. What a difference in process that was! There were exciting times and some very frustrating times, but in the end, it turned out beautifully. I know that I called nonstop, but I knew that no matter what, you would get back to me with news promptly. I can't tell you how much that means to me, as there were times where I felt so lost and didn't know what was going on and you made sure that I knew where we were and what we needed to do. Your knowledge and expertise throughout this deal was tremendous.

You have helped this young lady who thought she was incapable of providing this kind of life for herself and her son into a reality, and for that, I am eternally grateful. Be rest assured that if I ever find myself looking for a new house again, you will be the first person I call. I will also not be afraid to tell anyone looking to buy real estate, that if they want someone strong and they want it done right, CALL JOAN.
